It is meaningful for me to work in the neurosciences because I gave nursing care to quadraplegiacs and othe neurosurgical and neuromedical patients. My mother had Alzheimer's disae and died while I worked in our lab. Although I'm not ready, to donate my own brain tissue to the lab, I am happy to commit the use of my brain for development of better therapies for Alzheimer's. My expertise is growing cells in culture. I can grow nearly anything that the Alzheimer lab needs, nerve cells, astrocytes, microglia.
