 Emily Rosario ., Ph.D. erosario@ucla.edu

Dr. Rosario worked in our lab industriously for one year starting March 2007. After completing her PHD at USC in 2006, she joined our lab. She also received a Masters of Science, in Biological Sciences   (2000-2002) from Eastern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science, Biology   (1996-2000) from Kansas State University.

She has received many awards including an    Heinz Osterberg Dissertation Prize at the Davis School of Gerontology, USC, a NRSA predoctoral grant (1F31NS05214301A1)     as well as a        Multidisciplinary Research Training in Gerontology Grant , a Neuroscience Provost Fellowship , and an award for Outstanding Graduate Student  at Eastern Illinois University. In her short time spent at our Alzheimer lab at UCLA/VA, she has supervised several different dietary and behavioral projects on different Alzheimer's transgenics and also ran samples from an Alzheimer's clinical trial on the LUMINEX in addition to keeping the transgenic colony in order.
