Mher worked in the Alzheimer’s Research Lab from 21008 to 2011, and then entered graduate school. After completing his B.S. in 2007 in Psychobiology at UCLA, he completed his Master’s Degree of Public Health Biostatistics at San Diego State University. His interests are building databases for data retrieval and storage, multivariate techniques for statistical analysis and predictive modeling as well as data mining analysis. As a research assistant in Genesis Healthcare Partners (San Diego, CA), he built custom databases to track information for different projects, constructed queries of electronic medical records to determine various statistics on detection, treatments, and outcomes of prostate cancer and other urological diseases. He performed Statistical analysis of clinical practice patterns, aided with manuscript preparation and editing for publication. He Trained and supervised student workers. Prior to entering graduate school, he worked as a Staff Research Associate, UCLA Dept. of Medicine (Los Angeles, CA) in our lab performing basic research in Alzheimer’s disease, studying the effects of diet and exercise in animal models and their brain pathology. He managed the Alzheimer Mouse colony, organizing breeding and maintenance of animal colony as well as experiments and their schedules. He created custom databases to track information on colony, experiments and results. He also performed dissections and biochemical assays, particularly Western Blot and PCR. During this period he worked as a Student Research Assistant at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute (Los Angeles, CA), Imaging research in schizophrenia lab and working with quantification methods for brain morphology of prodromal schizophrenia patients,. He is experienced in knowledge of SAS and R (generalized linear models, linear mixed models, etc) , , MS Excel and MS Access – intermediate-advanced MATLAB, python, VBA, SQL, and Android app development .
